Quick answers for the most common Hōbi questions, and a direct line to our team when you need one.
Hōbi uses passwordless sign-in. Enter your email and we send a one-tap magic link. The link is good for 15 minutes and can only be used once.
If you do not see the email, check your spam folder, then request a new link from the sign-in screen. Some inbox providers (especially work or school addresses) delay delivery by a minute or two.
If you signed in with Apple, use the same Apple ID on every device. We do not have a separate password to recover.
Invite codes are six uppercase letters or numbers (for example, ABC123) and never include the letters I or O or the digits 0 or 1 so they cannot be misread. They are single-use and they expire. If your code stops working, ask the person who invited you to send a fresh one from inside the app.
If you are already a member of the child's Circle, the app will tell you so and the code will stay good for someone else.
Children do not create Hōbi accounts. Adults in a Circle create and manage child profiles. Each Circle member sees what their role allows. Owners and admins can adjust roles and permissions for everyone in the Circle.
If you believe a child profile was created or shared without appropriate authority, write to us right away.
You can turn notifications on or off, and pick which kinds you receive, in Settings → Notifications inside the app. Push notifications follow the same controls as email.
We ask permission for push notifications after you log your first moment, never during sign-in or onboarding, so you only see the prompt once you have a sense of what we'll send.
You can request an export or deletion of your account from inside the app, or by writing to support. Deletion removes your account and the child profiles you administer, except for limited records we are required to keep for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

If something is broken, please tell us. Include the screen you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. If you can, include your device model and iOS version.
Suggestions are welcome too. Hōbi is built with the families using it, and the small ideas often turn into the best changes.
